The impact of trauma is complex, and you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, numb, or stuck in patterns that are holding you back. Those who have experienced sexual trauma, domestic violence, or abuse in childhood may carry deep pain that affects how they see themselves, show up in relationships, or navigate the world. It takes immense courage to seek help, regardless of the source of your trauma and that's the step you are taking right now on your healing journey. I will work to help you reconnect with your body, reclaim personal power, and heal the pain from past wounds.

My own path in mental health work began as a sexual assault advocate and sexual violence prevention educator. From this experience, I cultivated a passion for supporting trauma survivors in taking control of their stories and providing a non-judgmental space for meaningful healing. I utilize an integrative approach based on trauma informed cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy, psychodynamic theory, emotion focused therapy, and experiential interventions

Let me help you navigate the issues which are affecting you. We can work together to foster greater self-confidence, awareness, and efficacy, so you can move toward the life that you want. If you’re ready to talk, or even just thinking about it, I’m here. Reach out, so I can start supporting you on this voyage, helping guide you towards healing and fulfillment.

Robin Mathy, CSWA (she/her)

psychotherapist

Robin is a Clinical Social Work Associate (#A15584) supervised by Colleen Quigley, LCSW (# L12814). Her clinical practice is rooted in compassion, resilience, and social justice. With a deep commitment to trauma-informed care and relational practice, Robin creates environments where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to reclaim their wholeness. Drawing from years of experience across diverse communities and clinical settings, Robin integrates evidence-based modalities with a profound respect for each client’s lived experience and individual goals and dreams. Her work is guided by the belief that healing is not linear—it’s a sacred journey of remembering, transformation, and growth. She anchors her practice in the values of authenticity, unconditional acceptance, and deep empathy--far beyond the words one can say. Whether through one-on-one sessions or community-based initiatives, her mission is clear: to help people reconnect with their inner resilience and live more fully aligned with their truth. Her favorite quote is “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are”—Carl Jung.

Robin is a Doctor of Social Work candidate at Tulane University. She has been in the mental health field since 1989 when she co-founded a gender identity clinic in Tempe, Arizona. Before becoming licensed in Oregon, she worked as an international consultant in evidence-based mental health care for over two decades. She loves being a research nerd who spends most of her time doing social justice-oriented research. She has published four books, dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and she has made presentations at national and international conferences. Her work has been cited thousands of times. In her spare time, Robin enjoys binge-watching streamed television series, going to movies and dining with friends, and playing with her two (rescued) female cats, Zenith and Minnie. You may even see Minnie wanting treats or cuddles during sessions.
